New 22 km road Roskovec-Lushnje - ARRSH selects the designer, winning bid 21 million lek
The Albanian Road Authority has announced the winner of the tender for the study and design of the new road that will connect Roskovec with Lushnja. The company "KLODIODA" was selected with a bid of 21 million lek, in a procedure that had a limit fund of about 24 million lek.
The tender was opened in June, while the contract aims to draft a detailed project for a completely new axis, with a length of approximately 22 km. The route is expected to start near Roskovec, on the Pošnjë-Roskovec-Fier road, and end near Lushnje, on the Berat-Lushnje axis.
One of the main works envisaged is the construction of a new bridge over the Seman River, which separates the territories of the two municipalities. According to the terms of reference, the road will be designed as a category C3, or secondary interurban road.
Before determining the final route, the designer must analyze at least two possible variants. The project will also include connecting nodes, signage, lighting, greenery and secondary roads to guarantee access for local communities.
According to the ARRSH, the new axis aims to create a faster connection between Roskovec and Lushnja, but also to avoid traffic passing through residential centers. This is expected to reduce the load in urban areas and improve road safety for vehicles and pedestrians.
