The State Police has taken measures to ensure public order and security before, during and after the match between Albania and Belarus, which will be played this evening at the “Air Albania” stadium at 20:45.

Due to the influx of fans, vehicle traffic will be restricted on several roads near the stadium from 17:00 until the end of the match.
The roads that will be blocked are:
“Dëshmorët e Kombit” Boulevard, from the “Laguna” fast-food restaurant, near the former Dajti Hotel bridge;
“Pope John Paul II” Street, at the RTSH intersection;
“Dervish Hima” Street, near the US Embassy;
“Asim Zeneli” Street, near the US Embassy;
“Themistokli Gërmenji” Street, at the entrance;
“Ismail Qemali” Street, at the RTSH intersection;
“Lekë Dukagjini” Street, near the former Republican Guard headquarters, where only vehicles authorized by the Albanian Football Federation will be allowed to pass;
“Abdyl Frashëri” Street, near the University Bookstore intersection;
At “Willson” Square, traffic will be diverted toward “Sami Frashëri” Street shortly before the end of the match. Meanwhile, Elbasan Road, the Ring Road and “Bajram Curri” Boulevard will remain open to vehicle traffic.
The police also announce that fans will undergo thorough checks before entering the stadium. Banners containing racist messages, fireworks, flares, pyrotechnic materials, metal coins, umbrellas, lighters, mobile phone chargers and other hard or dangerous items will not be allowed inside the stadium.

State Police/Security measures plan to ensure public order and security before, during and after the football match between the national teams of Albania and Belarus, which will be played this evening at 20:45 at the “Air Albania” stadium.
The measures plan sets out the duties to be carried out by all structures, drawing on positive experience in planning, organizing and managing public order and security during international events.
To ensure the smooth running of this event and facilitate vehicle traffic in the city of Tirana, on 26.09.2026, from 17:00 until the end of the match, the State Police, in cooperation with the Tirana Municipal Police, will impose traffic restrictions on several roads near the stadium.
The roads that will be blocked from 17:00 until the end of the match:
“Dëshmorët e Kombit” Boulevard, from the “Laguna” fast-food restaurant, near the former Dajti Hotel bridge;
“Pope John Paul II” Street, at the RTSH intersection;
“Dervish Hima” Street, near the US Embassy;
“Asim Zeneli” Street, near the US Embassy;
“Themistokli Gërmenji” Street, at the entrance;
“Ismail Qemali” Street, at the RTSH intersection;
“Lekë Dukagjini” Street, near the former Republican Guard headquarters (entry corridor to the designated parking area, only for vehicles authorized by the Albanian Football Federation);
“Abdyl Frashëri” Street, near the University Bookstore intersection;
At “Willson” Square, traffic will be diverted toward “Sami Frashëri” Street shortly before the end of the match.
Elbasan Road, the Ring Road and “Bajram Curri” Boulevard will remain open to vehicle traffic.
As part of the implementation of the measures plan, State Police officers will carry out thorough checks of fans before they enter the stadium, with the aim of preventing the entry of banners containing racist messages, fireworks, flares, pyrotechnic materials, metal coins, umbrellas, lighters, mobile phone chargers, equipment/products for cosmetic use and other hard items that could endanger the lives and health of participants.
We ask fans to arrive at the stadium entrance starting at 18:30, as the influx of fans may mean that, shortly before the match begins, they lose the opportunity to enter the stadium.
To ensure the smooth running of this sporting event, the State Police has deployed hundreds of police officers, who will guarantee public order and security and provide assistance and information if needed, so that the event concludes without incidents, in the interest of the country’s image.
