A gun attack in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, a Caribbean island nation known for luxury tourism, left four people dead and four others injured.

The shooting was reported in Green Hill, near the capital, Kingstown. Police forces went to the area after receiving reports of the incident.
According to the acting commissioner of the Royal Police, Trevor Bailey, two of the victims were found on the road. The body of a woman was inside a parked vehicle, while the fourth victim was discovered in a lot beside the road. All had injuries believed to have been caused by firearms.
Four people were injured, two of whom remain under medical care in hospital. So far, the authorities have made no arrests and are continuing their investigation to identify the perpetrators and determine the motive.
Police are also investigating another murder reported in the country to determine whether it is connected to the incident in Green Hill.
National Security Minister St. Clair Leacock condemned the violence, describing the attacks as “pointless.” He said that Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is generally a peaceful country, but that some communities have been affected by gang-related violence.
