The General Secretary of the Democratic Party, Flamur Noka, has reacted to Prime Minister Edi Rama’s public statement, criticizing him for canceling the press conference and avoiding journalists’ questions.

Noka claims that the head of government should have answered for the appointment of Vlora Hyseni as head of SHISH, as well as for his political decisions regarding the leadership of security institutions.
According to him, instead of facing journalists directly, Rama chose to address the public through a camera. “Albanians were waiting for his reaction to the state scandal named Vlora Hyseni, whom he appointed as head of SHISH,” Noka said.
He accuses the prime minister of not having the courage to face the questions that would have been put to him, and that instead of public accountability or resignation, he delivered what Noka describes as a repeated monologue.
“Edi Rama should have been held accountable for his political decisions, because appointments are his political responsibility. Albanians were expecting a resignation, but they heard a rewritten speech,” the General Secretary of the Democratic Party declared.
Noka continues his accusations, saying that the government has placed the state at the disposal of crime and that cartels control senior leadership posts, including the prime minister.
He claims that Albania has no national security and that SHISH, the State Police, and the Ministry of Defense are controlled by Ergys Agasi. According to Noka, secret collaborators of SHISH and the police are under the influence of Agasi, Suel Çela, the Troplinis, and the Xhabaftis, while the Ministry of Defense is run under the control of Agasi and his partner, Ron Yeffet.
Faced with these accusations, Noka says that Rama gave no answer, because, according to him, the prime minister is at the center of state scandals and is the last person to take responsibility for the narco-state he has created.
