A 39-year-old man, Fabio Colapietro, was killed and then dismembered in Turin, Italy. Twenty-six-year-old Christian Matheus De Oliveira Morando has accepted responsibility for the incident and is suspected of killing him following a dispute over money.

According to Italian media, the incident occurred while the two men were using drugs.
The 26-year-old’s mother told the Italian program “Ore 11” that her son had not returned home for more than a week. She said he had called her and spoken incoherently, making her understand that something serious had happened.
“He had not come to my house for more than a week. He called me and said unclear things, making me understand that something very serious had happened. At that point, I suggested that he call the police,” the woman recounted.
When the young man contacted the police, he was shocked and crying heavily. According to his mother, he handed her the phone and she acted as an intermediary in the conversation.
“He had said that he had hurt someone,” she said, describing what her son had told her about the incident.
According to the 26-year-old’s account, he was at a party where drugs were being used. He claims that he fell asleep and, after waking up, saw a man taking some of his belongings. A fight broke out between them, involving two other people present in the apartment: the owner and another guest.
“Then they thought that this person had lost consciousness, but in fact he had died,” the suspect’s mother said.
The woman also spoke about her son’s health, mentioning his drug addiction and personality disorders.
“My son is unwell because of his drug addiction and the personality disorders he has. But despite his condition, he only harmed himself,” she said.
According to his mother, the 26-year-old had recently been admitted several times to the hospital’s psychiatric wards, but had left because he was unable to remain there.
