Ilir Topi steps down as director of the Compulsory Health Care Fund, here is who takes over

Ilir Topi has resigned as director of the Compulsory Health Care Fund, while Suela Popa has been appointed in his place.

The resignation was formalized today, while the procedure for his departure from office was signed with the Administrative Council at 09:00.

Topi led the Compulsory Health Care Fund for around four months.

Meanwhile, the institution’s new head is expected to be introduced today at 11:00 by the minister of Health.

Suela Popa is a finance professional with degrees in Finance and Banking and Law from the University of Tirana. She has served as Director General of the Agricultural and Rural Development Agency and as a member of the Supervisory Council of the Bank of Albania. As of today (September 29), she has taken over the leadership of the Compulsory Health Insurance Fund.
