A protest called by the “Freedom Has a Name” platform will be held today at 16:00 in Skanderbeg Square in Pristina. Participants from Kosovo and other Albanian-inhabited territories are expected to oppose the decision by the Specialist Chambers, which on September 16 handed down sentences totaling 81 years in prison for former KLA leaders.

Protests against the decision and in support of former KLA members have been taking place for 15 days.
Demonstrations opposing the ruling have also been held in Skopje, in several US cities, as well as in Canada, Switzerland, Germany and Austria. Another protest has been announced in Brussels for October 10.
