According to the company, the system can organize the necessary steps, use digital tools and draw on company data. It can answer questions, draft documents, produce content, and write and run code. Gemini operates within Gmail, Docs, Sheets and Calendar.
This allows employees to receive the result in the same environment where they are working, without having to switch constantly from one application to another. Google describes Gemini as both a personal assistant and a member of the team. Companies can create virtual agents with defined responsibilities and give them access only to authorized information.
Google has also announced measures for managing permissions, security and costs. Meanwhile, specialized versions for the financial and legal sectors are also being prepared in an initial phase. With this development, the company aims to take the use of artificial intelligence in the office beyond assistance with a response or text, toward carrying out processes involving multiple steps.
