In a harsh Facebook post, Dosti called on parents, citizens, students and academics to join in support of the protesters. At the same time, he accused Edi Rama’s government of holding power with the help of a criminal gang, reports “Bota sot”.
The publicist did not spare the media either, calling them co-responsible for the situation in Albania, while demanding that the student protest turn into a broad national movement.
In his reaction, Dosti wrote: “Stop, criminals…” He stressed that he has said before that Albania has the most criminal police force in Europe, because it is largely rural, underpaid, mistreated, misused, deeply partisan and, above all, deeply unprofessional and political.
He said he is following the student protest in Tirana with attention and concern and cannot believe his eyes. “Who are you hitting like this, you masked policeman… you criminal… you animal?! Whom have you bloodied, whom have you maimed and massacred? Maybe your own blood?”, he asked, adding that this is about your child, your daughter or son, your sister or brother, your nephew or niece, the child of your uncle or aunt, your cousin, your neighbor and your fellow Albanian.
According to Dosti, Albanians are a small people and they either become in-laws, cousins, or neighbors. Therefore, anyone who guards Rama’s filthy power and keeps his criminal gang in power for a dirty salary and a job is bloodying and massacring, in a beastly manner, the students who are Albania’s tomorrow.
He told the parents and relatives of those heroic boys and girls, who are not afraid to clash and be bloodied by Rama’s bloodthirsty power, with or without a uniform, that it is shameful to stay at home or in cafes and watch their children on television as they are being assaulted. According to him, they should be the first to stand by them and support them.
The citizens of Tirana who leave the heroic students alone were called shameful and were invited to join them, because otherwise Rama will not leave just with the chant “Rama, go!”. Dosti said he is not talking about the most disgusting kind in the world, the patronage workers, those he called maggots and filth, who for a job and a little money would be the first to kill their own mother and father, and he cursed them.
He said he does not agree with the ladies and gentlemen of the press who complain more about police violence than about the students on the front line, who are being bloodied and massacred by “their police.” Dosti added that not even Serbian, Greek, Macedonian or Montenegrin police officers would dare to treat them so barbarically. According to him, it is precisely the journalists — not all of them, but the majority — who are accomplices in the fact that the situation in Albania has reached this level. “Why is Rama still in power?” he asked, emphasizing that he says this openly and publicly.
Finally, Dosti called on parents, the citizens of Tirana and of all Albania, students and academics from across the country, democrats and protesters who have been protesting for more than four months to join the students and not leave them alone. He argued that unity brings strength and that their protest, even if it becomes violent in the face of a criminal-political police force that deserves the same response, must be a powerful nationwide protest for the good of Albania and Albanians.
He added that the time and the right moment have come to separate the wheat from the chaff, with the slogans “now or never” and “death or freedom.” According to him, Albanians have been robbed, sold, betrayed and humiliated as never before in their national history, and therefore fire is needed against anti-Albanians. He also wrote “Albania of the Albanians — death to traitors!” and invited citizens to join the students, because Rama, his criminal gang in power and his ignorant-political police have their days numbered.
