At the ceremony marking the handover of command of NATO’s force in Kosovo, KFOR, the European Union Ambassador in Kosovo, Dirk Schuebel, thanked Major General Ozkan Ulutash for the support provided during his time in this role.

According to the announcement, Schuebel also expressed readiness to cooperate with the new KFOR commander, Major General Roberto Vergori, with the aim of further strengthening cooperation between the European Union and NATO in Kosovo.
Ambassador Schuebel said he looks forward to working with the new KFOR commander, Major General Roberto Vergori, to further strengthen EU-NATO cooperation in Kosovo.
He also highlighted the importance of the roles played by the European Union and KFOR in Kosovo. According to him, the EU provides political and financial support for Kosovo’s European integration, while KFOR has a key role in maintaining a safe environment.
