Ron Yeffet with former Deputy Prime Minister and former Minister of Energy Belinda Balluku
This evening, Audio Recording No. 8 involving former Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj was released, featuring Israeli-American-Albanian businessman Ron Yeffet and three Ukrainian nationals.
In tonight’s audio recording, published on the Çim Peka Live program, the discussion focused on the gas project in Vlora, which was also mentioned in the audio recordings released last Monday.
In the recording, Yeffet can be heard speaking with a Ukrainian woman identified as Tatiana, who serves as an interpreter between him and two other Ukrainian nationals, Sergei and Igor.
Yeffet asks those he is speaking with to rely on him when it comes to the Ministry of Energy, which at the time was headed by Belinda Balluku. He asks the Ukrainians not to submit any letters or anything official, and not even to mention his name.
Audio Recording No. 8
Tatiana: We will prepare an official letter to the Ministry of Energy to obtain information about the gas in Vlora. An official letter.
Yeffet: Why, why? No, no, no official letter, no, no. Go and see, go to Vlora, see whatever you want. Afterwards, I will deal with them. You will not send any letter, you will not send anything. The information is for us, not for the Ministry.
Tatiana: Okay, the issue is that what she told us is essential. Relying solely on an on-site visit would be insufficient. A physical inspection—the company would not understand anything.
Yeffet: Rely on me when it comes to the Ministry of Energy. We will go to the Ministry of Energy, we will talk to them about everything. But do not use my name.
Tatiana: Okay.
Yeffet: In Vlora, okay. You will inspect; you represent an American company.
Tatiana: Okay.
Yeffet: You will inspect, you will inspect, you will ask about everything, and they will cooperate. Tell her to come on Monday and stay here. You will go to the Ministry of Energy once, twice, three times.
Tatiana: I think she will come on Wednesday.
Yeffet: If she comes on Monday and stays, because she will not be here on Wednesday, and on Friday nobody works here. It is not efficient; we need to be more efficient.
Tatiana: Okay, okay.
Yeffet: If she comes on Wednesday, they come on Friday, nothing happens. And she has to stay here until we finish. I want us to finish. You need to understand, I need it to start; we need to close deals.
Tatiana: She is coming from Johannesburg; she will be here on Monday. From Tuesday morning…
Yeffet: But she should not leave until the weekend.
Tatiana: Okay.

Last week, seven audio recordings were released in which Yeffet and the Ukrainian nationals discussed the packaging of weapons and ammunition arriving from Africa and subsequently being resold to countries at war, in this case Ukraine.
The recordings also revealed the involvement of the companies KAYO and TIMAK. Yeffet is a co-shareholder in TIMAK together with Arjeta Puca.
Subsequently, the state-owned KAYO and privately owned TIMAK established TIMAK DEFENCE, in which TIMAK holds an 80% stake while KAYO holds only 20%.
Ahmetaj stated the following day that Prime Minister Rama and Yeffet had replicated the KAYO-TIMAK structure across all sectors of the economy in order to control everything, even in the event that Rama were to leave office.
