Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has arrived in the United States to attend the meeting of foreign ministers from the G20 countries.
The trip comes at a time of tensions between Moscow and the West. During the talks, Lavrov is expected to raise the issue of the sanctions imposed on Russia.

The Russian government announced on Thursday that the minister intends to ask his international counterparts to ease the restrictive measures against his country. The ministerial meeting is part of preparations for the G20 leaders’ summit, which will be held on December 14 and 15 in Miami, United States.
The meeting will provide an opportunity to discuss key issues on the international agenda, as well as the economic and political challenges facing member countries.
