Arben Gashi, a member of parliament for the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), has announced that he will run for party leader in the upcoming elections.
In an interview with Kanal 10, he said he meets the necessary criteria to enter the race for the LDK leadership.

According to Gashi, his ambition, profile and program are among the qualities that make him a suitable candidate.
Although the LDK has not yet begun the process of selecting candidates, Gashi said his long involvement in politics and his contributions had led him to conclude that now is the time to consider the possibility of leading the party.
He said he aims to contribute, together with others, to a better LDK and Kosovo, publicly stressing that he meets the formal requirements, conditions and criteria for the race.
