Personnel from Albania’s Support and Civil Emergencies Base (BMEC) and the Kosovo Security Force took part in a joint mountain search and rescue exercise, Albanian Defence Minister Ermal Nufi announced.
According to Nufi, the exercise was held from November 2 to 5, 2026, in Prevallë, Prizren.

During the exercise, participants shared experiences, tested new equipment and practised search and rescue techniques, including evacuating an injured person from mountainous terrain.
In a Facebook post, Nufi said the exercise strengthens cooperation to save lives and helps develop professional capabilities, improve interoperability and consolidate cooperation between the two organisations.
