Safe City system to be rolled out in Ohrid, Kičevo, Struga and Debar on October 12

Preparations for activating the “Safe City” system in the territory covered by the Ohrid Sector of Internal Affairs are nearing completion. Its implementation will begin on October 12 in Ohrid, Struga, Kičevo and Debar.

During his visit to Ohrid, Interior Minister Panče Toškovski said that the meetings had also addressed combating crime and corruption, as well as illegal trade and drug distribution.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs announced that FRONTEX will expand its activities to the western border for the first time. Joint operations are expected to begin at the start of next year.
