A joint operation involving the Korçë Directorate of Border and Migration, investigative units of the Korçë Local Police Directorate, the Gramsh Police Station and Tirana Police Station No. 5 began near the village of Kapshticë in Devoll and ended in the city of Gramsh. Near Kapshticë, police spotted two “Audi Q7” vehicles suspected of having picked up a group of illegal migrants.

The drivers did not obey the order to stop, prompting a large number of police officers to pursue them. Near Lozhan, they dropped off around 15 illegal migrants and continued toward Gramsh. At a checkpoint there, they rammed two police patrol vehicles, endangering the lives of police officers, and then continued driving. Both vehicles were found abandoned in two villages in Gramsh.
Police found the 15 migrants hiding in a ravine near the village of Lozhan in Maliq and seized the two vehicles used to transport them toward Tirana. The two drivers have been identified and declared wanted, while a third person is being investigated without being detained. Efforts are continuing to apprehend those wanted, fully clarify the circumstances and identify the other people involved in this activity.
