From January to July 2026, a total of 741,446 tourists arrived in North Macedonia. The figures were released by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism as part of the observance of World Tourism Day on September 27.

According to the ministry, the number of foreign tourists increased. The most visitors came from Turkey, Germany, Serbia, Romania and Albania.
The tourism development strategy will focus on promoting cultural and natural assets, improving the quality of services, and applying digitalization and artificial intelligence.
“The digital agenda and artificial intelligence for redesigning tourism” is this year’s theme for World Tourism Day.
