SDSM has called for the immediate dismissal of Minister Ivan Stoilkoviq, accusing him of being involved in political activities in Serbia and of supporting, according to the party, a “Serbian-Russian agenda.”

The Social Democratic party’s reaction came after Stoilkoviq appeared in Manastir alongside Milica Gjurgjeviq Stamenkovski of Zavetnica, a minister in Serbia’s caretaker government. In its statement, SDSM referred to her views on NATO, Russia and the war in Ukraine, as well as her statements about Srebrenica and Ratko Mladiq.
“She publicly stated: there was no genocide in Srebrenica. This contradicts the final rulings of international courts. Regarding Ratko Mladiq, she said: a general of Republika Srpska, a man who defended the people. Mladiq is a convicted war criminal,” SDSM said in its reaction.
The party also accused Stoilkoviq of supporting Serbian President Aleksandar Vuçiq and of taking part in activities linked to Serbia. According to SDSM’s claims, he was also involved in organizing transportation for a rally in Belgrade.
SDSM is calling for Stoilkoviq to be removed from office, describing his participation in political activities in Serbia as inappropriate for a minister of North Macedonia.
