Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Astrit Iseni announced tonight on the “Debat në SHENJA” program that, for the first time, an Albanian will be appointed deputy chief of all units at the central level in the Republic of North Macedonia.

During the program, Iseni presented the development as an exclusive announcement, revealing that the person who will take on the position is a professional with around 25 years of experience in the special unit.
He said the decision was not made on the basis of informal interventions, phone calls or decisions made in cafés, but was agreed jointly with the minister, director and deputy director at the ministry’s highest levels. According to Iseni, the appointment concerns a professional who has made a continuous contribution to the special unit during 25 years of service.
