Minister of Education and Science, Hajrulla Çeku, announced that the higher education reform will define the profiles of universities in accordance with their capacities and the demands for the country’s development. According to him, the changes also include the review of academic programs, as well as a new financing model based on quality and results.

During his visit to “Isa Boletini” University in Mitrovica, where he met with rector Nurten Deva, the institution’s leaders and the Governing Council, Çeku discussed the preparations being made in the field of higher education and science.
He stressed that the reform will be accompanied by increased investments in scientific research and the strengthening of links between universities and industry.
According to Çeku, Mitrovica has great opportunities for development in the sectors of industry, technology and the country’s economy. He said the aim is to turn these capacities into concrete opportunities for students and into a contribution to Kosovo’s development. The minister published his statement on “Facebook”.
