The prime minister of North Macedonia, Hristijan Mickoski, said the government’s objective is for the average wage in the country to approach 1,000 euros by the end of its term in 2028.

According to him, economic data point to positive developments. Mickoski said nominal growth exceeded 8 percent in 2024 and 2025, while favorable developments are expected to continue in 2026.
“The aim of this government is to bring the average wage close to 1,000 euros by the end of its term,” Mickoski said.
He announced that the average net wage in July stood at 48,499 denars, marking an annual nominal increase of 7.1 percent. Meanwhile, exports during the first eight months of the year amounted to 5.74 billion euros, or 8.7 percent more./Telegrafi/
