Çollaku on the EU’s double standards: Radojčić strolled freely next to Vučić, Serbia feels no pressure at all

Security expert Fatmir Çollaku has questioned the fairness of the European Union’s approach toward Pristina and Belgrade, considering it a skewed approach in favor of Serbia. During a statement on Tëvë1’s “Ditari” program, he also addressed the public appearance of Milan Radojčić at an event held by former Serbian leader Aleksandar Vučić, where, according to media reports, his son was also present.

According to him, Brussels has long applied a double-standard policy: harsh demands and continuous measures against Kosovo, while Serbia has never been punished in the same way.

Çollaku recalled that economic sanctions have been imposed on Kosovo, while Belgrade, at every stage of the dialogue that is interrupted and resumed, has been reserved only “pampering,” almost like a child whom no one dares to scold. This approach, he emphasized, is being repeated to this day.

In support of his thesis, he cited the Banjska case as the most powerful fact, stressing that Serbia has taken no concrete step against Radojčić, despite the latter having accepted responsibility for that attack.

As Çollaku stated, there is no need for a long list of arguments – one is enough: Radojčić admitted guilt for an act of terrorist nature, and yet no criminal proceedings have been initiated against him in Serbia. On the contrary, he added, he is escorted by the Serbian police at his public appearances and continues to be perceived as a trusted figure of Vučić, close even to his son.

His conclusion was blunt: the unequal treatment of the two countries is proven precisely by the absence of punishment toward Serbia, and as long as there are neither sanctions nor pressure from the EU, Belgrade has no reason to suffer.
