Spokeswoman Laureta Ulaj clarified that the case file and appeal had reached the Court of Appeals and were under review. She disputed claims published by several online newspapers that the court had already issued a ruling.
According to Ulaj, a decision on the appeal will be made within the deadlines prescribed by law.
Fadil Zogaj and Ekrem Selimi were arrested on suspicion of assaulting Fahrush Rexhepi, an MP from the Vetëvendosje Movement. They are suspected of the criminal offense of “jointly committing an assault on an official.”
