During an appearance on MRTV, SDSM leader Venko Filipce criticized Interior Minister Panče Toshkovski for comparing the border to Swiss cheese. He described the statement as scandalous, referring to the release of Iva Mihailova and a series of security failures during the past period.
According to Filipce, Toshkovski’s statement yesterday was unnecessary, as the condition of the border is evident every day. Recalling that Toshkovski has held the post of interior minister for more than two years, he drew attention to the scandals at the border with Kosovo, Afrim Gashi’s crossing of the border to attend a wedding, and raised the question of how Artan Grubi had managed to leave.

Regarding the case of Iva Mihailova, the SDSM leader called on Bulgaria to extradite her, while demanding that Toshkovski and Hristovski be held accountable. He described the case as another scandal added to previous incidents for which, he said, the minister must answer.
Filipce said that taking responsibility was the least that Panče Toshkovski could do after the latest scandal. In this context, he also recalled the fire in Kočani, saying that the minister had tried to protect some of the police officers serving there.
