Protesters attack the Socialist Party headquarters with stones as police respond with tear gas and water cannons

Tensions escalated today as protesters attacked the Socialist Party headquarters with stones.

The young protesters managed to get past a police cordon and threw hard objects at the headquarters, breaking the windows.

Meanwhile, masked people carrying sticks were also seen coming out of the Socialist Party building.

Police intervened by firing tear gas and directing water cannons at the protesters in an effort to disperse them.
