According to the DUI, the way Minister Shasivari justifies his position suggests that Macedonian is considered the only legal language, while the use of Albanian is viewed as an issue that should be negotiated, discussed and determined through bylaws.

The party stresses that a right guaranteed by the Constitution and the law cannot be reduced to an issue resolved through bylaws. In its view, this approach does not solve the problem but deepens it.

DUI also criticized the way the minister presented his meeting with students, asking when such a meeting became a political success, while the implementation of the Constitution continues to be treated as a subject for negotiation.

According to the reaction, the Justice Minister is increasingly presenting himself as a minister of meetings, consultations, discussions and promises, while Albanian students continue to face the same obstacle: the inability to take the jurisprudence exam in Albanian.

DUI emphasizes that constitutional rights cannot be conditioned on the minister’s will, the outcomes of meetings or the interpretation of bylaws. According to the party, these acts should guarantee the implementation of the Constitution and laws, rather than replace or restrict the rights established by them.

The use of Albanian in the jurisprudence exam, DUI continues, is not a matter of compromise, but is directly linked to equality and respect for the constitutional order.

Students, the reaction states, do not need another meeting to be declared a success, but a clear and comprehensive solution, in accordance with the Constitution and the law, DUI said. /Telegrafi/
