Mustafa: Low-income families spend most of their income on food

Democratic Party of Kosovo MP Arben Mustafa has criticized the government over rising prices.

During an appearance on DPT te Fidani, Mustafa said that inflation had risen significantly.

According to him, low-income families spend almost all their money on food, leaving them unable to spend on other needs.

“The lower a family’s income, the greater the share that goes toward basic goods and food. This means that if a family spends an average of 60% of its income on food, for a poor family that percentage is even higher, leaving nothing else,” he said.
