The transfer of Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj from pretrial detention in Durrës to Fier prison has reportedly sparked debate within the Socialist Party.
According to journalist Ergys Gjençaj, during a meeting of the Socialist Party’s parliamentary group, MP Bledi Çuçi, who chairs the National Security Committee, pressed Justice Minister Toni Gogu for the documentation related to Veliaj’s transfer.
