European authorities are searching for six women whose photographs and details have been published on the international “Europe’s Most Wanted” platform. Through the platform, police forces across Europe ask the public for help identifying and locating fugitives.
The cases vary: arranging a murder, fraud involving millions of euros, suspected involvement in a major robbery, and the unlawful taking or retention of children. The list also includes two well-known figures in Italian organized crime.

Eva Zámecníková – Convicted of arranging her husband’s murder
Eva Zámecníková, 45, from Slovakia, was given a final sentence of eight years in prison for arranging her husband’s murder. Investigators found that in January 2014 she had offered someone €50,000 to kill him, allegedly intending to obtain a share of his property.

The plot centered on the couple’s home in Chocholná-Velčice, near Trenčín, Slovakia. The murder did not take place because the person she approached notified the police.
She was sentenced to eight years in prison in 2020. Zámecníková was added to the European wanted list because she must serve that sentence.
Mariana Mijailovic – Suspected of defrauding victims of millions of euros by exploiting fears of curses
Mariana Mijailovic is a 45-year-old Austrian citizen of Serbian origin. Investigators suspect she used the name Amela when approaching people she later defrauded.

She allegedly told victims they were cursed and that their relatives could become seriously ill or die. To prevent this, she said, they had to pay for expensive rituals to remove negative energy.
Among the victims is a 56-year-old woman whom Mijailovic met in Vienna’s Döbling district. After predicting the death of one of the woman’s relatives, she allegedly persuaded her to keep paying for the rituals. She is suspected of taking more than €730,000 from the woman, as well as gold and other valuables.
During the investigation, police found cash, jewelry, gold and luxury watches at a home in Maria Enzersdorf. Suspicions about Mijailovic’s fraudulent activities also extend to Germany and Switzerland.
She has been wanted under an international arrest warrant since January 2025 for serious, repeated fraud carried out as part of a professional activity. Investigators estimate that several million euros in total were obtained from victims.
Andrea Sánchez Antelo – Suspected of practicing medicine without authorization

Spanish authorities are also searching for Andrea Sánchez Antelo, 32, on charges related to practicing medicine illegally and forging public documents.
According to the investigation, she allegedly presented herself as a medical professional despite lacking the necessary legal authorization. She is suspected of gaining the trust of several people who then became victims of her alleged illegal activities.
Ninoslava Jovic – Suspected of helping with the TEFAF fair robbery
Ninoslava Jovic, 41, a Serbian citizen, is wanted over suspected links to one of Europe’s most high-profile robberies in recent years: the attack on the TEFAF international art and antiques fair in Maastricht, the Netherlands.

During the robbery, people armed with weapons and hammers smashed display cases containing diamonds and other valuables. The stolen items were valued at tens of millions of euros, and the perpetrators fled on electric scooters.
Jovic is not suspected of taking part directly in the attack. Investigators believe she may have helped the group prepare for and carry out the robbery. Dutch police say she may be in Serbia but have not ruled out the possibility that she has moved to another country.
Ildikó Bódi – Left with her son after a custody ruling
Ildikó Bódi is a 43-year-old Hungarian citizen wanted by Luxembourg authorities on suspicion of unlawfully taking and retaining a minor. According to police, she disappeared with her son in December 2023 after a court ruled that the child should live with his father.
Since they left, the father has been unable to contact his son. Investigators believe the mother and child may be in Hungary, but their whereabouts remain unknown.

Melisa Smrekar – Wanted for keeping a girl at an unknown location
Melisa Smrekar, 57, a Slovenian citizen, is suspected of keeping a girl at an unknown location and preventing the enforcement of a court ruling.
This case also involves a custody dispute and failure to comply with court decisions. Authorities are trying to locate the woman and establish the circumstances so that the ruling concerning the minor can be enforced.
Two Italian mafia figures among those wanted

In addition to the six women, the European list includes 44 other people. Among them are Giovanni Motisi and Renato Cinquegranella, two well-known figures in Italian organized crime who have both been sentenced to life in prison.
Giovanni Motisi, 67, is a longstanding Cosa Nostra figure in Palermo. Known by the nickname “u pacchiuni,” he has been on the run since 1998. His name is also linked to the August 6, 1985, murders of deputy police commissioner Ninni Cassarà and officer Roberto Antiochia.
To find him, investigators have used artificial intelligence to reconstruct what he might look like today, simulating the effects of aging on his face.
Renato Cinquegranella, 77, is another organized crime figure in Naples. He is linked to the Nuova Famiglia organization, which was in conflict with Raffaele Cutolo’s clan, and is wanted for murder, membership in a mafia organization, weapons offenses and extortion.
His criminal activities are linked to serious crimes committed in 1982, including the murder of Giacomo Frattini and that of the head of the Naples Police, Antonio Ammaturo. Ammaturo was killed on July 15 alongside officer Pasquale Paola.
“Europe’s Most Wanted” is a tool for cooperation among European police forces: the platform publishes details of wanted people and gives the public a chance to help identify them.
